To the ladies in my Bible class and for those whose hearts are open to the word of God.
Just like I said, "I saw it right here on the upper right hand side of the page. I highlighted it"......and it sure was.....but not Ephesians try Romans....yup!
Romans 8:18 (paraphrased) All this suffering we go through here on earth is just not even worth considering when compared to the glory of what will be revealed to us. And if that is not enough then try II Corinthians 4:17-18 which echoes the same sentiment but even minimizes our worries by calling them "light and momentary troubles" and reminds us that the things we see here on earth are only temporary but those things we can not see are the things that will last for eternity.
I could add a lot of my words to this but why should I when the scripture says it so plainly. We just get so caught up with the things we can see, the here and now, today's desires.....
And the next thing to consider is the "quiet life" of I Thessalonians 4:11-12. Define quiet life scripturally.
Thank you for this. I know this has to be for a class discussion but it helped me a lot. I'm very miserable right now and it is good to be reminded how temporary it is and that this (Lord willing) is just to help add to heaven's population!

ReplyDeleteI would not have posted it had I meant it for a select group. I have been reading of your trials and my heart goes out to you. I hope soon you will be able to begin to enjoy the adventure of pregnancy without having the feel the pains of pregnancy.
I spent some of the best years of my life being pregnant!

ReplyDeleteFor all these many years, I've sat back and admired your steadfastness and resiliance. I've been in awe of your talents and abilities, and humbled by just knowing some of the things you've overcome in your life, coming out victorious. I've always wanted to be in your circle of friends.
I feel like, through this blog and our class this summer, that I'm closer to that than ever, and it thrills me!!

ReplyDeleteI always considered you to be in my circle of friends. But you are right, through the blog and our summer Bible study, I do believe we have found more in common and have learned to love each other deeper.
I believe it is through the prayers of many good people that prayer has worked wonders in my life and I want you to continue to keep me in your prayers. You know, what they say, "it ain't over, til it's over".
I think we will grow through our adversities.
